Project Co-Ordinator

Salary - £26,650

12 Month FTC

With your help, our major projects delivery will be a success!

We love the North. It's a vibrant, thriving place where there's more happening than ever before. To connect communities, people and cities, we will transform the TransPennine Express franchise. It will offer faster, easier journeys and a step change in rail services: an InterCity of the North, if you will. With over £500m of investment to deliver (including 44 new intercity trains), we're all set to take the North further, expanding links and the economy. There's just one thing missing – you.

As a Project Co-ordinator you'll provide a vital support role in the successful delivery of a suite of complex exciting projects. As we introduce 44 brand new trains into the business, you will be at the centre of making sure they arrive on time and to our specification. You'll be a key part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) providing project management and administrative support to the Major Projects Director and Programme Manager as well as our wider team of Project Managers leading each large project. The key is to be organised, helpful and there when you're needed, becoming a champion for project planning within the business. You'll work across the business with interfaces with all teams as we pull together to meet our goals.

There will be new trains, new trains and more new trains to get into service over the next few months, but we'll also be responsible for delivering a major timetable change too. You'll have to be a quick learner, self-motivated and above all determined to do a good job. With your experience in project planning principles, you'll already have the right skills and experience: it all comes down to super organisational skills and the ability to work with others as well as independently. You'll be tech savvy, and able to pick up new software easily and able to show others how to use it too! Knowledge of railway industry, working cross-functionally and stakeholder management will also help you succeed in this role.

To say thank you for all your hard work, we offer competitive salaries and some great rewards. There's a final salary pension scheme, discretionary bonus scheme and big savings on rail travel: free TransPennine Express journeys for you and free leisure journeys for your family. You and your family can also get discounts with other train operating companies. Your job comes with plenty of holiday as well as all kinds of benefits: childcare vouchers, discounts and even a Cycle to Work scheme.

Help take the north further.
