Digital Project Manager (Fixed Term 6 months)

Who are we looking for?

As a Digital Project Manager, you'll help us improve the way that we communicate information to customers through our digital channels, particularly during disruption and when planned infrastructure works are taking place such as Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU).

You will play a key role in managing a customer journey audit and implement any technical changes to improve the way that we communicate with customers.  It's a chance to work closely with the customer experience, commercial and project teams as well as external suppliers and Industry partners. Together, you'll put the customer at the heart of all plans, ensuring that marketing communication touchpoints are aligned with the Customer Manifesto to deliver strong advocacy and satisfaction results.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead workshops and collaboration sessions to engage industry partners and stakeholders to map the customer journey
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements to the digital touchpoints
  • Build business cases to gain approval for development initiatives
  • Develop project plans and oversee the implementation of new developments and initiatives
  • Produce a digital communications best practice guide
  • Collaborate with industry partners, keeping all stakeholders engaged and informed.

What skill/experience is required?

You will need to hit the ground running, having previously worked as a Digital Project Manager, with at least 5 years' experience and hold a degree, likely in Marketing or Business. Having worked agency or client side in a large organisation, you'll have a great track record in developing and implementing digital projects, ideally in a customer focussed context. 

You will be autonomous, with excellent organisational skills, a deep understanding of the value in customer insights and an have experience of preparing business cases. You'll be an excellent communicator, good with people and great in a team – a natural when it comes to collaboration.
