Travel Shop Customer Host

Role: Travel Shop Customer Host

Location: Slough Bus Station

We are looking for a passionate customer service professional to join our team at the travel shop at Slough bus station as a customer host.

As a travel shop customer host you will be the point of contact for all customer enquiries in the Travel shop at Slough Bus Station and be there to provide some administrative support to the depot operational team when needed.

You will be working 40 hours per week (this will include weekend work) and the salary is £19,878.

Main Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers in the Travelshop, face to face and over the phone queries
  • Ensure timetables and service information is up to date at all times
  • Provide support to Yellow School Bus operation, liaising with Operating Company's Commercial Team for private hire opportunities.
  • Support Depot Management Team with administrative help when needed
  • Prepare information to support disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews
  • Prepare reports by collating, analysing and summarising information
  • Support the depot team to ensure that all depot equipment is logged and maintained and that sufficient levels of stock are available, including: ticket machines, driver equipment, cash machines, and ticket rolls etc.
  • Ensure items of lost property are logged in Tracerit and coordinate return of items to customers
  • Collate and coordinate new uniform deliveries
  • Collate and process vehicle defect information
  • Support the accurate capture and recording of employee hours and attendance, including inputting, checking and collating information from the DAS GUI system, timesheets and clock cards

We are looking for someone with a friendly approach and a great telephone manner, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers walking into the travel shop so you'll need to have a passion for customer service and be able to keep your calm in stressful situations.
