About the role
Working alongside the internal SAP teams and external support partners this role is an opportunity to work in FirstGroup as part of a small team with a with a wide remit across the FirstGroup UK businesses. Reporting to the SAP Manager, you will provide first and second line support across the UK instances of SAP ECC and SAP S4 Hana.
The main responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Triage and resolve issue across FI, CO, MM, SD and user admin.
- Recommend, respond and liaise with the SAP team, ensuring appropriate ideas are taken forward to suppliers to either build into future releases (including all relevant modules) or be paid for via the relevant capital authority
- Review and recommend process changes relating to applications, both in respect of potential implications to, and support from, the applications to increase efficiency and accuracy of the overall processes.
- Perform system reviews and limit access to ensure that work is performed in accordance with the security policies
- Develop and manage processes for the effective delivery of future activity as required, including legislative and corporate changes.
- Undertake functional and integration testing and ensure all incidents are updated regularly in support portal.
About you
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years SAP support experience, be comfortable working with SAP ECC and S4HanaI and have strong working knowledge of MS office programmes. Understanding of accounting and procurement processes would also be an advantage.
You will be an analytical person with the ability to organise a complex workload. A good understanding of stakeholder relationships is also vital, with a proven track record of effective communication including the development of communication materials.
