Data Entry Clerk

We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Sheffield (Olive Grove) on a fixed term/part time basis.

The role of Data Entry Clerk/Admin support will work as part of The Change team to support the roll out of a new Engineering Management System (EMS) which is being developed to transform our approach to maintenance. 

Key Points:

  • The salary for this position is £19,000 (pro rata)
  • This is a part time role, 25 hours per week 
  • The working hours are 0800 to 1300 Monday to Friday (5 hours per day)
  • This is a fixed term contract until 30 October 2020 (we need the successful candidate to start asap)
  • There will be a level of flexibility required from all members of the EMS team with regards to working hours/patterns

This is a very high-profile project within the business and the role of Data Entry Clerk/Admin support will be critical in its success.  The role will need to demonstrate tenacity, the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people at all levels, personal resilience and the ability to remain positive and focussed on the delivery of outcomes and benefits.

There will be a level of flexibility required from all members of the EMS team with regards to working hours/ patterns during the week to meet the requirements of the programme.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform data entry (vehicle defect records)
  • Input of inspection and MOT data
  • Co-ordination of EMS training and meetings
  • Input of holidays/sickness/work schedules onto EMS
  • Preparation of work packages and schedules
  • Updating notice boards with work schedules and data
  • Keep scheduling board up to date
  • Support stores data input and spares kitting lists
  • Maintain electronic filing system on SharePoint
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support

Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:

  • 2+ years of hands on administrative support experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook a must
  • Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise projects and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good research skills and attention to detail
